Each year, our team, along with the school’s founders, travels to different countries to exchange experiences, study leading global practices, and broaden our expertise.
Last week, we visited Japan to delve deeper into cutting-edge approaches to education and sustainable development. The Shoqan School delegation traveled to Tokyo, Nagoya, Shizuoka, and Osaka, focusing on integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into both the educational process and corporate culture.
During the visit, we gained insights from Japan’s leading educational institutions:
* At Shoin Senior High School and Osaka Shoin University, we saw innovative methods for incorporating ESG principles and SDGs into education. These approaches aim to nurture ecological responsibility and sustainable thinking among students.
* In Nagoya and Shizuoka, the delegation visited Sanshin Metal Working Co., LTD, a company successfully utilizing advanced hydroponic farming technologies. These innovations showcase the efficient use of natural resources.
* A highlight of the visit was a meeting with representatives of the Japan International Forestry Promotion and Cooperation Center (JIFPRO) in Tokyo. The center specializes in developing and adapting trees for planting in arid regions of Asia and Africa under UN initiatives. Collaboration with JIFPRO opens new opportunities for ecological projects in Kazakhstan, including reforestation and ecosystem restoration.
The knowledge and experience gained during this trip will serve as a vital foundation for implementing global best practices in Shoqan School’s educational process. We are committed to launching projects that contribute to shaping an environmentally responsible future, fully aligned with our mission: to educate generations ready to tackle global challenges and drive sustainable societal development.
