Yesterday, a special event took place at the Shokan Ualikhanov Private Primary School – a reading conference on Geronimo Stilton’s book The Adventures of Marco Polo! For the first time, this book was translated into Kazakh and presented to students.
The project was made possible with the support of Raisa Sairan Kadir, General Director of Steppe&World publishing house and a member of the National Kurultai.
The children deepened their understanding of the book through quizzes, performed a theatrical scene in English, and even made Italian pizza with Eduardo Crisofoli while discussing the similarities between Kazakh and Italian cuisine. They also presented 7 Most Beautiful Places in Kazakhstan, imagining where Marco Polo might travel today.
???? This event revealed new dimensions of reading and became a bridge between cultures.
Most excitingly, our school will soon welcome representatives from one of Italy’s leading universities in the field of art and design! This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to explore international educational prospects.
